Owned by Sir Richard Branson, this intimate safari lodge promises exceptional style and service. Ulusaba Private Game Reserve enjoys an excellent location in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve bordering the Kruger National Park, its walking safaris and game-viewing drives ensure a memorable wildlife experience.

Sabi Sand Game Reserve borders the famous Kruger National Park and as there are no fences, there is an excellent chance of spotting ‘The Big Five’ – lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino and even leopard if you are lucky. Precautions against malaria are necessary.

Accommodation

Guests can choose between two separate lodges: Safari Lodge along the banks of the Mabrak River and Rock Lodge elevated high above the savannah.

Safari Lodge rooms are built 'tree house' style and you really get the feeling of being at the heart of life in the bush. Your room will provide fascinating views of the animals as they stroll past on their way to the nearby watering hole.

At Rock Lodge you will find spectacular panoramic views over miles of bush, the wildlife roaming within, and the beauty of the lowveld (bushy grassland plain) below, all set against a backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountain range far in the distance.

Restaurants & Bars

Before returning to your authentic African safari lodge for the evening, savour an authentic meal under the African stars that is sure to tantalise the taste buds.

Dine at the Lodge, in the heart of the bush or under the African skies around a blazing log fire, with tribal dancers and singers to entertain guests.

Recreation

A safari in South Africa is a wonderful way to spend a holiday, and Ulusaba offer game drives in open 4x4 game viewing safari vehicles twice a day as well as nature walks. These activities are included in your luxury safari accommodation rates.

As if some of the finest game viewing wasn't already enough, Ulusaba also has a boutique spa at both Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge. The Aroma Boma Virgin Touch Salon offers a fabulous range of treatments to help you relax and unwind after the excitement of game drive.

There are also two floodlit tennis courts and a gym.
