Overview

The Ahwahnee, opened in 1927, is now an one of America's most distinctive National Historic Landmarks, providing every urban comfort in a rugged Sierra mountain niche.

Yosemite Miwok woven cooking baskets, linguistic symbols and decorative patterns have been used thoroughout the Ahwahnee's rooms and halls, and these have become its trademark.
