Accommodation

The Junior Suites are situated in thatched roofed buildings, some facing the beach and some on stilts over a natural fish reserve. All have a terrace or balcony, while the Senior Suites come with private heated swimming pools, and outdoor bath and a terrace.

For the last word in luxury, stay in the Princely Suite, which comprises of two Junior Suites and one Senior Suite, and has two private swimming pools. Located directly on the beach in a secluded part of the hotel grounds offering utmost privacy, the Princely Suite also benefits from three individual terraces each facing a different part of the lagoon.

Restaurants & Bars

Le Prince Maurice offers a delicious range of Mauritian-influenced and international cuisine. L' Archipel is located in the main building, overlooking the pool and the beach. It has three separate dining areas, two of which are al fresco and very romantic, and offers an la carte menu in a sophisticated ambience.

With its spectacular setting and entrance which is navigated via a snaking gangplank through the mangrove trees, Le Barachois is a unique floating restaurant offering grills, seafood and Mauritian specialities.

An a la carte Japanese menu is available by evening at Laguna Bar, which is also the perfect venue to enjoy unique after dinner cocktails to a light melody of the sitar.

Recreation

The hotel provides a wide range of water and land sports and as well as recreational activities.

Complimentary Green fees,water sports include water skiing, windsurfing, kayaks and snorkelling, whilst for a nominal fee you can enjoy scuba diving, catamaran cruises and deep sea fishing. If you still need some action after a morning on the sea, you can enjoy a game of tennis on one of the two synthetic floodlit courts, a game of squash or cycle round the local area.

Golf

Guests of Le Prince Maurice can play golf free of charge on the Legend and Links courses at the nearby sister hotel, Belle Mare Plage.

The Legend was designed by South African champion Hugh Baiocchi, and is located along one of the most superb beaches on the island. Each of the 18 holes has distinctive characteristics. Superb fairways are laid in the heart of an indigenous forest, culminating in brand new greens, built to USPGA specifications.

The second Belle Mare Plage championship golf course has a par of 71 and is equipped with a practice fairway. This 18-hole course is set in a location which seems to have been naturally created for the purpose.
