Soneva Fushi by Six Senses provides the ultimate island experience – just 65 rustic villas ensconced on a private 100-acre islet surrounded by a coral lagoon.
After your scenic sea-plane flight from Malé, kick off your shoes: you won't need them until you leave. The Soneva Fushi concept is a luxury version of the 'Crusoe' experience; each of its rustic-chic villas are loaded with comforts and conveniences and yet great care has been taken to make the resort environmentally friendly.

Each Villa has luxuries found in the best hotels. However, whilst offering all these modern day facilities, the utmost care has been given to make the resort environment-friendly, and to reflect the dream of a Robinson Crusoe experience. Thus, the hairdryer is hidden in the drawer of a coconut wood desk; the minibar, safe, and quadraphonic hi-fi are concealed behind rattan; the TV and DVD are delivered in a water hyacinth basket.
The Villas are placed so that your very own stretch of white sand beach is just a few steps away. There is dense vegetation in between each villa creating patios and gardens for secluded enjoyment, and each bathroom opens onto a private garden.
Many of the villas have private pools and some have spa suites. The Crusoe Suites, Retreat, Presidential Suite and Jungle Reserve come with ‘Mr Friday’ butler service. All villas are placed on either side of the island so that they greet the sunrise or sunset respectively. The new Soneva Fushi Villa Suite and Tree House consists of a rustic Crusoe-style villa with an adjacent tree house two metres above beach level, with two bunk beds, a single bed, bathroom and slide into the private pool; while the Jungle Reserve features an additional spa suite and air-conditioned gym.

Dining options at Soneva Fushi are designed to make your stay diverse, exciting and slightly adventurous, with a combination of dishes that allow the East to meet the West in culinary terms.
Every effort is made to find ingredients of the highest quality and have them delivered to the island as pure and fresh as they might have been served at their origin. With this philosophy in mind the menus benefit from the abundance of fresh fish at the Maldives.
To compliment the dining options, there is a wine list with an international content that covers many recognised and some unrecognised wine producing countries in both hemispheres.

Water sports abound at Soneva Fushi; choose from a wide range of activities from windsurfing, snorkelling, hobie cat sailing, water skiing and wake boarding.
Divers will love the PADI-certified Soleni Dive Centre, where special attention is given to all divers, whether you are experienced or only a beginner.
For those who prefer dry land, enjoy a leisurely cycle round the island, a game of badminton or tennis and the high-tech fitness centre. Alternatively, you may prefer to simply relax on the beach or by the pool.
