All villas feature both an indoor and outdoor shower, a private terrace leading to the beach and either a waterfront or lush garden.
As well as Beach and Water Villas there are 16 luxury tree house villas, a first for the Maldives each perched on stilts offering a special three metre-high perspective of the island through tropical foliage. The tree house villas each have a separate bedroom and living room as well as their own private infinity pools.
Each villa is equipped with two iPods and docking stations, a DVD player and an espresso machine.

Dr. Ali's Restaurant & Bar leads the restaurant selection with three distinctive dining rooms focusing on the finest cuisine from the Indian Ocean, the South China Sea and the Arabian Gulf.
Enjoy aromatic curries, tandoori dishes and roast meat prepared with a subtle blending of exotic spices in the Indian Ocean dining room whilst the South China Sea dining room focuses on signature Shangri-La Cantonese dishes such as platters of delectable dim sum, steamed freshly-netted fish and tasty stir fries as well as mouth-watering Vietnamese specialities and recipes from some of the masters of Oriental cuisine. In the Arabian Gulf living room, the culinary emphasis is on Lebanese cuisine and also features quintessential dishes from the entire Middle East region such as hummus, salads, tagine, kebabs and saj.

CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La offers innovative therapies in a secluded sanctuary and a unique yoga pavilion overlooking the Indian Ocean. Energetic guests will be able to take a speedboat to Gan Island and, by bicycle, explore five neighbouring islands connected by a 17-kilometre road.
Enjoy snorkelling along the resort's house reef and snorkelling gardens close to the shoreline or visit the eco-centre and watersports centre featuring surfing, scuba diving and a variety of non-motorised water activities. Other activities available include a free-form pool, two tennis courts, a dedicated indoor and outdoor area for children, boutiques and an entertainment centre.
