It’s all part of the experience at Dhoni Island, a unique island set on the Ari Atoll of the Maldives. Guests arrive by sea-plane, a stunning 20-minute journey from Malé airport across a necklace of atolls, or on a lazy four hour cruise by dhoni. Once there, schedules fly right out the window. Guests have the choice of spending the nights onboard their Dhoni or on dry land in their dedicated island lodge.

There are just six luxuriously appointed, air-conditioned dhonis. For the utmost in privacy each dhoni is partnered with a secluded beach bungalow.
These 65ft traditionally handcrafted Maldivian sailboats are the epitome of simple elegance. An inviting king-size bed with Frette Linen and goose down duvet graces the beautifully decorated cabin. Dhonis also boast Smeg kitchen appliances, Philippe Starck bathroom fittings and in-cabin entertainment featuring a 20" LCD screen and Bose DVD surround theatre.
Each Dhoni comes with it's own crew so you can chose to sail the tranquil waters of the atolls, picnic on deserted islands, go cruising, fishing, swimming or diving and dine under the stars.

Wherever, whenever you wish to dine or wine on Dhoni Island, the choice is yours. The chef can suggest a menu specially designed using the freshest of fresh ingredients or can personalise a menu to excite your palate.
Find a secluded part of the beach and select your menu, any time of the day or night. Even the restaurant doesn't have a set dining time so you can chose your own dining time. This is your island getaway and you choose how to enjoy your time here.
The bar is open 24 hours a day, stocked with fine wines, champagnes, spirits and imported beers.
