Accommodation

The 70 Deluxe Rooms and 5 suites all come complete with panoramic views of either the city of Rishikesh, the Ganges Valley or the Palace.

The rooms are infused with natural Himalayan light, designed to imbibe the feel of the mountains, while the Viceregal Suite, with its wraparound terrace, outdoor Jacuzzi and its own telescope, embodies the graciousness of a bygone era. Located in the Palace annex, it exudes the warmth of Indian hospitality, with special local touches in the decor.

Three villas all have panoramic views and either one or two bedrooms, a private pool and a deck area with lounge beds. Each villa also has a living room, a butler's pantry, a dressing room and a huge bathroom with a bathtub next to a glass window overlooking the private pool. The two-bedroom villas feature en-suite bathrooms with a sauna room.

Restaurants & Bars

The signature restaurant features the finest Indian, Asian and Western cuisine. Based on the basic values of traditional cooking, the restaurant explores new vistas in modern gastronomy, with emphasis on a light and healthy meal. Keeping in mind that guests normally stay for long periods of time, the a la carte menus are changed every day for lunch and dinner to provide more variety.

The restaurant offers a menu for better living with meals enriched with the vivid flavour of organic vegetables and herbs. It is built in a grove of old Sal trees overlooking the valley of Rishikesh, while the Pavilion is a casual and elegant setting for drinks and light snacks. Located in the restaurant building, it is an ideal venue for intimate gatherings.

Ananda Spa

The 21,000 sq ft spa offers an extensive menu of over 79 body and beauty treatments, integrating the traditional Indian systems of Ayurveda with the more contemporary Western spa approach. The spa experience strives to achieve the ultimate harmony between the physical and the mental realms of the individual.

With a unique focus on the traditional Indian sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda, Ananda Spa creates the skillful synthesis between age-old therapies and modern spa technology. The personalised therapy and activities programmes are designed to meet individual needs and health goals, such as de-stress, detoxification, deep relaxation, anti-aging and weight loss, while also offering guidance in the areas of nutrition and exercise.

Ananda Spa also houses extensive recreational facilities such as the outdoor lap pool; the 16-station life-cycle gymnasium and a squash court.
