Overview

Good snow conditions, miles of gentle slopes and an extensive lift system make skiing in Italy a breeze. A warm welcome, excellent food and vibrant après-ski are all in the mix.

Sestriere

Sestriere is home to Pragelato, a destination that flows naturally to the infinite ski slopes of the Milky Way, and the backdrop for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. The host of activities includes cross-country skiing, ski jumping, snowboarding and ice-skating. With over 400km of pistes it has excellent skiing for every level of skier, and the spectacular vistas are a real bonus. The cosmopolitan nightlife has a very international atmosphere.

Corvara

Surrounded by craggy peaks and gentle rolling slopes, Corvara is the perfect destination for any skier. Skiing 20 minutes in any direction from the resort will take you to the Sella Ronda circuit which offers 750 miles of runs & virtually guaranteed snow. The charming resorts of Alta Badia & San Cassiano are also linked by the Dolomite Superski system which has 460 lifts and one pass to access all areas. In addition to all this, Corvara boasts a fantastic après-ski scene.

Cervinia

One of the highest resorts in the Italian Alps, Cervinia offer miles of consistently wide, gentle runs, usually with excellent snow and constant sunshine. This is perfect terrain for intermediates: take in the magnificent scenery with the great Matterhorn (Monte Cervino) silhouetted against the sky. The more advanced skier can ski directly to the more challenging terrain of Zermatt, Switzerland. A compact resort centre offers an abundance of après-ski activities.
