Guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman are reminded of the tropical latitude by design touches that give each room and suite a distinct sense of place.

Special considerations have been made to accommodate Ritz-Carlton guests who visit Grand Cayman with their families. King rooms feature a twin loveseat that folds out into a bed, which will eliminate the need for parents to order rollaway beds for small children, and double rooms feature two Queen beds.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman offers guests yet another accommodation choice: The Reserve. Consisting of 24 fully-furnished oceanfront and oceanview vacation homes with two or three bedrooms, chef's kitchens and spacious balconies, The Reserve provides the perfect option for guests looking for the space and comforts of a private vacation home with the amenities of a five-star resort.

Blue by Eric Ripert is a culinary journey into the deep transparent Caribbean waters - a veritable discovery of seafood. In the tradition of Le Bernardin, Blue by Eric Ripert offers a three course prix fixe menu as well as two six course tasting menus. Open for dinner, Tuesday to Saturday.

Whimsy and fun embody the essence of Periwinkle. With its breezy terrace and tranquil lagoon views, Periwinkle celebrates the pleasures of simply prepared seafood and quintessential Mediterranean freshness in this al fresco grill overlooking the resorts winding waterways. Enjoy nightly family friendly movies shown on the big screen under the starry sky. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Named for the famous beach right outside its door, ‘7’ Restaurant blends casual Ritz-Carlton elegance with a dash of West Indian spice. Dine in the light-filled dining room or on the terrace overlooking Seven Mile Beach and the Caribbean Sea as 7 serves a daily a la carte breakfast as well as a tempting buffet. For lunch, 7 offers light entrees and special buffets and on Sundays ‘7’ is home to Caymans most extravagant Sunday Champagne Brunch.

In the evening, the oceanfront restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is dramatically transformed into 7 Prime Cuts & Sunsets, home to the Caribbean’s finest steaks. Awarded with the prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating, the menu at 7 Prime Cuts & Sunsets is underscored with island influences. Taikun offers the islands finest sushi and delivers an experience worthy of its name, an ancient Japanese term of respect from which the English ‘tycoon’ was derived Hallmarks of Taikun include real wasabi grated tableside, the island’s largest sake selection and an unconventional Riesling wine pairing flight.

Named for the silvery reef fish so plentiful offshore, Bar Jack is Cayman's best sunset vantage point, poised right at the widest stretch of Seven Mile Beach. During the day, dine on Carib-bean favorites from the Chef’s grill, then watch the sunset with a well deserved cocktail.

Recreation

The crystal clear Caribbean waters and diverse marine life of Grand Cayman have made it one of the world's top rated dive and snorkel destinations. Watersport activities available include snorkelling equipment and lessons, glass bottom boat snorkel tours, kayaking, catamarans, sailboats (instruction available), waterskiing, windsurfing and scuba diving and instructional courses.

Nick Bollettieri, the coach behind tennis greats Andre Agassi, Monica Seles and Maria Sharapova, has created a custom tennis program for The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Three courts are available for guests.

The 3,515-yard, par 36 Blue Tip golf course offers five sets of tees for varied play. Water comes into play on eight out of nine holes. Carved along a serpentine waterway with sweeping views of the North Sound, Blue Tip is the first course to be constructed on the island in 10 years.

Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau introduces young people to the natural wonders and rich cultural traditions of the Cayman Islands. The islands' ecological resources become a natural classroom and living laboratory in which kids, teenagers and even parents will learn while having so much fun that they'll never imagine that it's educational.

Each day, the Ambassadors program will be dedicated to a different aspect of Grand Cayman. Active study and eco-excursions will take children on journeys of discovery centered on four areas: coral reefs, mangroves, wetlands, woodlands & wildlife and Caymanian life & traditions.
